This Pit Bull Can’t Stop Wagging His Tail After Being Rescued

Pit bull Polo, age 4, was found on the streets and brought to the crowded city shelter Animal Care and Control Team of Philadelphia (ACCT Philly). Shortly after arriving, Polo was adopted; however, things did not go well for him in his new home since he did not get along with the family cat, scaled a fence, and got into an altercation with the neighbor’s dog.

Polo was then brought back to the shelter since no one wanted to adopt him once more.

He is a kind and oblivious puppy that adores everyone. He is very kind to others and has a cute baby-hippo appearance.

Polo was regrettably scheduled for euthanasia.

Says Laura

“They time tagged him, i.e., they set a date for his death. They often do this since the shelter is already overcrowded and a dog with such a history is unlikely to be taken up by the general population. Even if he has these incredibly good attributes, they still need to disclose his past interactions with other dogs, and if you were choosing between 100 pit bulls, you definitely wouldn’t choose one with that background.

Through an email alert, Laura learned about Polo’s case and was quite sympathetic to his plight.

She uttered:

“An event placed his life at peril. This episode does not sum up who he is, though I do not exclude it out.

Laura made a valiant effort to place Polo in a foster family. Without one, her rescue crew was unable to get him from the bunker. But Laura and Polo were running out of time.

She uttered:

Because you want to help everyone but can only handle so much at once, it was really emotional. Additionally, you don’t want to place him in a home that can’t accommodate his challenges or in a hazardous setting.

“I would check to see whether he had been saved in the middle of the night. Every morning, I had to wait in suspense to find out if he would be laid down or whether someone would be carrying him.

A number of ACCT Philly volunteers also went above and above to support Polo in addition to Laura.

Says Laura

“ACCT volunteers were instrumental in helping him escape; they spoke out for him, established a training money for the crew that would rescue him, and shared his story on Facebook. Because of his intense curiosity, ACCT unexpectedly increased his timestamp by four times. and I genuinely think it kept him alive.
