Blind And Deaf Dog ‘Goes Crazy’ When She Senses Her Dad Is Coming Home

Opal is a stunning 8-month-old puppy with a very unique perspective on the world. Despite being born deaf and blind, she is nevertheless affectionate and expressive around the people she loves.

After viewing the puppy’s pictures on social media, Christina Bray and her husband, Forrest Hutchings, decided to adopt her from The Double J Dog Ranch in Hauser, Idaho, a rescue organization that helps canines with certain special needs.

Opal’s health worried the staff at this organization, but thankfully no one refused to let Opal stay in their home.

Opal’s parents recently posted a video on their Instagram account demonstrating how Opal welcomes her father every day and expresses excitement to feel his closeness once more. For the entire family, this has developed into the most enjoyable time of the day.

By Christine:

She waits in the front yard for her automobile to smell or feel. She doesn’t seem to care when the automobiles of the neighbors drive up, so I’m not sure how she can detect the difference. Then she smells it, which makes her panic out. She is really adorable!

She is a blind and deaf dog, but despite that, her other senses have improved, and she has demonstrated a really noble heart.

Forrest remarked:

She can be made to stand up or lie down with only a few touches on the back and shoulders.
