Dog Who Returned To Shelter Twice Can’t Believe He Finally Has A Mom

Beautiful puppy Lola had to through two ordeals at the young age of seven months since the people who promised to be her family for life abandoned her. Despite everything, she never gave up on finding a place that would never desert her again, so when Cristina Antonucci entered her life in July, she was overcome with delight.

As Cristina stated to The Dodo:

“She laid on top of me for hours the first night I took her home and held me.”

One day, this woman was looking through the Second Chance Rescue website when she came across a photo of Lola and learned about her predicament. She knew she wanted to meet Lola since the moment she saw her, she was reminded of some bull terrier mix puppies she had as a young girl.

Says Christina

“When I first saw her dejected expression in the photo, I simply knew I wanted to bring her home. She arrived with her foster mother and was the cutest little thing ever. She immediately sat up and looked at me.

Cristina claims that a teenage girl named Gucci Rose purchased Lola, gave her the name Lola, and then abandoned her at the shelter. Later, someone made the decision to give her another shot, but soon after, she too was abandoned.

Cristina felt even more confident in her decision to adopt Lola after hearing her tale.

She uttered:

“Considering that I had just been with her for the car journey home at the time, I was amazed by how fast she brightened up. She appeared to be very appreciative. I also understood that I couldn’t let her down.

Although Lola has flourished in her new home, her rocky beginnings have left her with certain undesirable behaviors.

Says Christina

We had difficulties when she dug in the backyard and tried to climb over the fence to play with the neighbor’s dog.

Nevertheless, Cristina appreciates all the dog has taught her over the last few months.

She uttered:

“Lola has unquestionably taught me perseverance and patience. No matter how difficult things are, you can’t give up. Nobody is flawless. Coming home and seeing her are the best parts of my day. In my heart, she truly has a special place.
