Dog Abandoned On The Street On Christmas Eve Makes A Miraculous Recovery

On Christmas Eve, Tiggy the dog was found utterly abandoned on the streets of Blythe, Northumberland (England). Tiggy was brutally dumped onto the streets when she was in such bad shape that she was essentially left for death.

She was essentially skin and bones, had no fur, her ribcage was visible, and her ribs protruded, which was a terrible scenario that made one fear the worst for the dog.

She was fortunately discovered by animal safety officers, who were in charge of saving her from the streets and transporting her to Berwick Animal Rescue Kennels (BARK), where she received the care she needed to recuperate, according to Daily Mail.

Due to her poor state, the individuals in charge of her care worried that Tiggy wouldn’t survive until Christmas. However, she defied all odds and amazingly started to recover.

It should be underlined how crucial BARK and its manager, Jan Ross, were to Tiggy’s successful recuperation because she received particular care from the moment she arrived.
The dog was given a sufficient food to gain weight since, when she first came at the shelter, she weighed only about 24 pounds, well below the recommended weight, and was forced to reside in a home since she could not be with the other dogs.

When I first saw the dog, I experienced a range of emotions, including astonishment, terror, panic, relief, and an immediate admiration for his bravery.

To everyone’s astonishment, Tiggy merely needed parasite treatment and enough food. Despite the fact that she had undergone several medical tests because of her condition, it was first believed that she was ill.

For the time being, it is unknown why they abandoned Tiggy and why they did this to her.

Northumberland County Council is doing everything they can to identify the perpetrators after learning about Tiggy’s terrible story went viral and attracted their attention.
