Woman Gains The Trust Of A Homeless German Shepherd And He Introduces Her To A Friend

A woman befriends a German shepherd dog that had reportedly been living in the woods for several weeks and brings the dog to another acquaintance who also required assistance.

The Abandoned Ones (TAO) animal rescue organization’s founder, Judy Obregón, wants to save a homeless German Shepherd in 2018. After learning that the dog was lost in the woods, she left for Echo Lake Park in Fort Worth, Texas.

When she eventually located the puppy, she was not overjoyed to be saved since it appeared that she was too afraid to approach anyone who wanted to assist her. She was obviously afraid of people because each time Judy attempted to approach her, the dog would bolt into the woods.

On Facebook, Judy wrote:

“I was aware that catching her was crucial. I watched her every action, trying to earn her trust.”

To win the dog’s confidence, the woman had to be really patient and wait for days. Eventually, though, she gave in.

Iris the dog waited for some food in the mornings, even if at first she initially bolted whenever she spotted Judy’s vehicle.

As Judy said:

“I spoke the same thing to him every day so he would recognize my voice and have faith that his life will change one day. When we can turn their dread into a grin, it is tremendously satisfying.

Iris was only emerging from the trees to judge Judy’s reliability, but one day she made the judgment that Judy was secure enough to approach. Later, when Iris appeared to be heading into the woods to show Judy something crucial, Judy was in for a tremendous surprise.

Iris had been offered food, but it was obvious that she would be sharing it with a pit bull, not herself.

Nobody is entirely sure how these couple of dogs wound up in the woods, but it was clear that they had been looking out for one another.
