Ram Found In Forest Was So Woolly It Could Barely Move

Edgar’s Mission Animal Sanctuary in Australia just rescued Baarack, a ram. He had apparently been lost in the wilderness for a long time, and it was clear that he was so woolly that he could scarcely walk wrapped in all that wool.

Sheep need to be sheared on a regular basis because their coats can become so thick that they can’t move around freely.

According to The Dodo, Baarack had reached the point where moving was a full challenge following his time alone in the woods.

The animal sanctuary posted on its Facebook page, “In a post put on our Facebook page, we wrote:

“He was discovered roaming through a state forest, among the diverse trees, native creatures, and dangers.” Every day, their fleece got longer, their condition became more terrible, and their chances of survival dwindled.”

Fortunately for Baarack, rescue arrived just in time, and things were about to improve for this ram. Baarack was rescued from his woolly prison by Sanctuary volunteers, who used scissors and a lot of care to give him a much-deserved makeover.

The Sanctuary’s staff promises:

“Now that he’s free of his 35-kilogram (77-pound) thick wool, he can see the world more clearly than ever before.” He can walk more readily than he has in the past, and he can express himself in ways he never could before.”

Baarack now has a shot for a better life, owing to his determination to survive so long on his own. And, of course, due to the sanctuary’s assistance in improving his quality of life.

Baarack will now be able to spend his days at the sanctuary in comfort and quiet, surrounded by individuals who will constantly look after his well-being.
