The kangaroo pushed the first guy away and kicked the water away as soon as he arrived. After that, a second man carefully came to assist him in being lifted to a secure spot on the boardwalk.

A third man jumped in to assist soothe the marsupial as several passers-by looked on in awe.

The kangaroo made a wonderful sign of gratitude for the assistance he received by extending his hand to one of his rescuers as a token of gratitude for all his efforts.

David believes this was his way of saying thank you for rescuing him from the icy water.
