A Dog With A Sad Past Is Overjoyed To Be Given A Second Opportunity
Corks is a puppy that radiates joy to everyone around him, so it’s tough to believe he’s been through anything particularly traumatic in the past. Corks’ present happy existence is because to a rescue organization that, along with a group of other caring individuals, chose to give him a second shot.
He was discovered walking the streets with major leg injuries late last year. He may have been hit by a car, according to veterinarians.
Corks was dressed and transferred to a shelter, but while his physical wounds were healing, his emotional scars were showing, and his days there were numbered.
Before he could be euthanized, he was rescued by the group Dogs Without Borders.
The following is what the organization’s personnel wrote:
“In the shelter, he was ready to be euthanized. He’d lost a lot of faith in people.
Corks’ health began to improve over time, but he required more time to regain his confidence in social situations.
Fortunately, the small puppy found a foster home with Brooke Wilson a few months later, who listened to his story and couldn’t help but be a part of this second opportunity that life had given him.
Corks could sense when she arrived to Wilson’s residence that he wasn’t used to being treated with care.
According to Wilson, who spoke to The Dodo,
“He snarled at me, my roommates, and the majority of the individuals he encountered in the first week.” He was hesitant to put his faith in others.
Things began to improve for Corks gradually and with a lot of affection, and the sorrowful puppy began to restore faith in people.
He wouldn’t allow anybody touch him at first, but he’s grown to accept hugs, kisses, and even living with other dogs. This cute little puppy is now quite content.
Wilson’s original plan was to offer a foster home for the puppy, but he couldn’t help but fall in love with him, so he decided to adopt him and love him for the rest of his life.
