From Her Hospice Bed, A Woman Says Goodbye To Her Beloved Horse And Pets

This story demonstrates how essential animals can become in our lives, as well as the extraordinary bonds they may create regardless of species.

Jan Holman, 68, is a terminally sick lady who was just transported to the Hospice of the Good Shepherd in Chester, England, from a hospital.

Despite getting all required care, she longed for her pets, her horse Bob and her two pups Monty and Rowley.

According to the woman, she was riding Bob till the day before she was hospitalised and stated that he is a very significant part of her life.

Seeing Jan’s condition, the staff decided to surprise her by putting her three furry pals on the visit list, resulting in a lovely reunion. After finalizing the plans, the hospice staff took Jan to the patio door for an emotional surprise.

Jan could see his horse Bob approaching at the time, escorted by personnel from the Thornleigh Park Farm Stables, where he lives freely. Despite her inability to get out of bed, the woman’s face was filled with joy, especially at the prospect of seeing Bob again.

Bob did not hesitate to poke his head through the door and allow himself to be touched by Jan; he sat on her lap and stroked her neck.

He also appreciated the tasty carrots, bananas, and apples that she fed him. She was ecstatic, and her face was lighted up.

According to Jan, according to METRO:

“I still rode Bob every day until a few weeks ago, and he is a very essential part of my life, and I have missed him terribly.”

The finest part of the emotional reunion, however, was still to come, when his two puppies Monty and Rowley came and stayed by his bed.

Jan was relieved to see her dogs again, since she had not had the opportunity to say farewell to them since being taken to the hospital. Ms. Jan, on the other hand, was able to enjoy the emotional reunion and gather some courage to continue fighting due to the kind hospice personnel.

Jan remarked:

“I can’t believe how much the hospice personnel went above and above for me.”

Several images shot by employees reveal Jan’s lovely reunion as well as the precise moments she had with her three dogs. While the woman and her family were aware that they could arrange for their two dogs to pay them a visit, they were not expecting to be offered the opportunity to bring Bob along.

She and her husband are appreciative for this, especially because she has been able to have regular visits since moving to the hospice.

The ability to add her two dogs and her beloved horse Bob on the visit list was without a question the most significant item for Jan.
