This Is The Loyal Dog That Patiently Waited His Friend’s Release From The Hospital, But It Appears He Is  Patient Enough To Wait  Longer

Emergency medical personnel were dispatched to Brazil last week to assist a homeless guy who had developed a respiratory issue. When they arrived, it became evident that, despite his seeming lack of worldly goods, the ill man was wealthy in another manner.

He was accompanied by his trusty dog, Marrom, who had been at his side the entire time.

Rather than dismissing the dog after loading the guy into the ambulance, the kind crew invited Marrom to accompany his friend to the hospital.

Marrom wanted to accompany his owner into the emergency department at Hospital Humanitária in Limeira, but it was decided that it was preferable not to let him in for the sake of the other patients.

The dog only stopped trying to enter the hospital once the guy was moved out of sight and into the ICU.

Instead, Marrom curled himself in front of the door and began to wait. And then there’s waiting.

Marrom’s display of loyalty to his master did not disappoint by the medical staff as the hours passed. They offered him food and drink, as well as care.

On Facebook, one of the staff members, physician Jairo Xavier de Oliveira, wrote:

“He’s just waiting quietly and well-behavedly, but you can wait, little Marrom; we’ll return your pal shortly.”

Staff at the hospital even put up a notice to deter anyone from bullying the dog or mistaking him for an abandoned stray.

“Please, do not harm this dog since he belongs to a patient.”

Marrom’s vigil had lasted 32 hours in all. UOL News says that a local animal rescue organisation, ALPA, stepped in at this moment to determine whether he required his own care.

They decided to take him to the vet after discovering that he had fleas and ticks, and that he had never gone before. After that, he’ll stay with them until his owner is released from the hospital.
